"Couples Retreat" to Savannah

We went on a fun "Couples Retreat" to Savannah the weekend after Thanksgiving! It was sponsored by the Army and completely FREE! We stayed in the Marriott hotel right on the river and had all our meals paid for! We brought along the kids and they just hung out in the room while Chris and I did the "Couples" activities. We took them swimming in the hotel pool in our free hours and walked along the Riverwalk. Savannah is so pretty and it was wonderful to get away for the weekend and enjoy some things we don't get to do... like go to Paula Deen's restaurant, Lady & Sons, for dinner!! It was amazing food and a really fun atmosphere. We didn't see Paula though... bummer! We made some new friends of the other couples who attended and had a really great time there together! We'll definitely be signing up to attend the next one...
Enjoy the pictures!

Chris and the kids toured a "Pirate Ship"!

You can see it in behind the girls with the tall masts. So awesome!

Posing!

I believe this is City Hall. Pretty!

Riverboat decorated for Christmas! They had a fun Christmas boat parade on Saturday night.

Little fish!

Big fish!

Standing in front of Lady & Sons with full bellies!

Cool boats!

Amazing old buildings on the river.

Cotton fields lined the roads on our drive there! It was the first we'd seen them! Very pretty!

Classic moss-filled trees in Savannah

Awesome old steps!

Beautiful view!

No Way!!!! You ate at the Lady and Sons? Sometimes it stinks to be stuck in boring old Utah. I hope it was delicious.
