SPLASH!

We've been attending a fun, FREE, swimming safety course at our YMCA. The kids are able to get their feet wet for 30 minutes each afternoon as they learn basic swimming techniques and safety know-how. At the end of the week, they get to attend a pool party and practice what they know! It's been really fun and I'm glad I signed them up! Jillian is so confident and just loves her teacher!! Yay! Jess and Miah think it's not nearly enough time in the pool... but they can't ever get enough pool time! We sure can't wait for summer to hurry up and get here!!!!

Practicing kicks and back float!!

Chris' New Car!

Chris inherited a car from a friend who recently deployed. It's not much to look at... but it runs great and we have been so happy to have two cars again!! Here are the pictures I've been promising!

Augusta Canal Field Trip!

We spent the morning at the Augusta Canal Educational Center. It was the end of year celebration for our area and Chris had never taken the canal boat ride so we took him with us. He IS the Principal after-all... Hee hee! We had a lot of fun showing him around the center (it was our second trip here this year!) and watching the quick film on the canal's history. It's a really fun place to visit. The boat ride is always the highlight and it really isn't long enough if you ask me!!! :) We had a lot of fun together!
GCA rocks!! (Georgia Cyber Academy...)

The museum is in the old Enterprise Mill. It still uses the canal to power it! We learned all about hydroelectricity and generators... Very cool!

We did a scavenger hunt to find critters who live on the canal. Jilli was really good at it!

While we were waiting for the boat trip, we played a bunch of games. This one was Duck Duck Goose!

Next they tried Egg races with styrofoam eggs and spoons...

Chris waiting to rock it...

Red Light, Green Light was next...

Then the Boat!!!

Yay!!

I got voluntold to do the Doffer game... You had to place 12 bobbins on thier little holders in 20 seconds... I did!!! Yay me!

Amidst applause from all the kiddos!

Fun trip!

You Must Watch This!!

Best Mother's Day EVER!

I had the best Mother's Day weekend EVER! Chris took me to see Iron Man 2 on Saturday morning (It was AWESOME!) and then he took me to dinner at Mellow Mushroom (HUMMUS!!) with the kids. Delish! After that, he took me to Kohl's for a shopping spree... to find a new outfit for Sunday (pictured above!). It was fabulous! Sunday morning, I slept in till 10 and stayed in bed till 11:30! Breakfast was French toast and I took my time getting just ME ready! Chris made dinner - Turkey, potatoes and rolls- all my favorites! Then he made popcorn and brownies for dessert!! He even made the kids massage my feet and head! You should have seen the looks on their faces... I just had to laugh through it. It was a wonderful day and I feel so blessed to have such great kids who make it fairly easy to be a mother! Thanks so much!! Love you all!!

My flowers... Very pretty bouquet!

Haircuts!

Summer is fast approaching and we thought the girls needed shorter hair to keep them cool this year. So.... We had our awesome hair cutting genius come and cut the girl's hair into fun bobs! I just love the way they turned out! Soooo cute!
